We have definitely had the most amazing 5 years as Priority Youth Project! This year marks 5 years since PYP was registered as a charity and we began providing services across Liverpool East. Starting from a small team of youth workers and a helping hand of our young people, we have grown into a team of hard working, dedicated youth workers and hundreds of fantastic young people who are all a pleasure to work with.

Over the past 5 years we have given our young people the opportunities of a life time, such as; the countless residential's, numerous NICAS Climbing Courses, action packed Summer Holidays, annual trips to Farmageddon and the Trafford Centre and much, much more. We work alongside some very helpful people, organisations and funders making all of these opportunities, so we would like to give them a HUGE thank you!

TIME TO CELEBRATE!

On Saturday 12th October we held our 5 Year Anniversary Celebrations at Cardinal Heenan High School. We hosted such a fantastic night with performances from The Cubans, Nathan one of our young people, games such as Play Your Cards Right and Bingo. Let's not forget the unbelievable Raffles that we ran as well, all of the prizes we had were something special.

The whole event was meant to be a celebration of the work we have done, the achievements we have gained, recognition of the team work that is put into PYP and a celebration of our young people. However, with the help of everyone who attended we managed to raise an amazing £2,340. We were also supported by Barclays for the event and they will be match funding us. THANK YOU! This is going to go such a long way to help us provide our unique services across Liverpool.

We would have been able to make it such a memorable night without the help of the following people:

Cardinal Heenan PTA for helping us put this all together, without them we wouldn't have had such an amazing venue and the night wouldn't have went so smoothly. The Cubans, after having to rearrange our entertainment for the night last minute, these guys were definitely a blessing and they know how to put on a show, everyone was blown away with the performance! Nathan, our amazing young person who took centre stage not only by himself but alongside The Cubans and wowed everyone, an amazing talent which is going to go far, keep it up! JM Discos for hosting the night, keeping the guests up on the dance floor and making sure the night was always lively. Tracey, for making an absolutely delicious Chicken Curry and Scouse which had so many compliments throughout the night and to our very own Kate for making an absolutely gorgeous Veggie Chilli. Chris Ryder for coming down and drawing the caricatures throughout the night. Bake My Day Liverpool for providing delicious PYP decorated cupcakes and biscuits, nom nom nom! Blu Up for decorating our venue with gorgeous balloons. Our raffle was something not to be missed with some unbelievable prizes which were all kindly donated! So, another huge THANK YOU goes to everyone who donated, the generosity was out of this world and we couldn't have made it such a unique raffle without you!

Finally, the biggest THANK YOU goes to YOU! All the amazing young people we work with, their families, our partners and funders. The on going support that you give Priority Youth Project is what keeps us going, it gives us the drive to keep providing the special opportunities for young people across Liverpool helping reach their full potential.
