Amazing weather, unbelievable experiences and a excited bunch of 11 young people is what our weekend consisted of on our recent residential to North Wales!
We began our weekend on a sunny Friday evening, with a gorgeous drive down to our location. A journey full of amazing coastal roads and beautiful countryside views, never failing to impress our young people! Arriving at Boulder Adventures is always a pleasure, Dave and his staff team always make us feel welcome! After a quick safety briefing, everyone shot off to their rooms and got settled in.
Saturday was a bright and early start, with breakfast being at 8AM. Everyone filled their boots and got themselves prepared for the exciting day ahead. After a quick briefing it was an early dart, heading out at 9AM to Holyhead beach for coasteering. Another day of glorious weather, the sun beaming down and not a cloud in sight, making the day even better! All kitted up, we ventured off to a secluded area of Holyhead where we started off our adventure - hours full of breath taking views, adrenaline rushing jumps and unforgettable experiences!
We finished the Saturday evening off with a stroll through Beddgelert, visiting the famous Dog's Grave, giving our young people some history of the local area and coming back to a cosy campfire (even if one of our staff members messed up melting the chocolate!) Once the night had closed in on us, everyone came together in the living room where a few of our young people serenaded us with their amazing voices! True talents came to light, completely surprising the staff!
Sunday began with a lot of sleepy heads, everyone rising for breakfast to start the day. After packing our bags and saying our goodbyes to the staff at Boulder Adventures, we headed off to Zip World. High up in the trees, jumping around and exceeding comfort zones is definitely a way to describe Zip World, putting another great experience onto the list!
Our travels home began, stopping off at the Ugly House for a delightful lunch to compliment the amazing weather we were blessed with. With bellies filled, tired staff and young people, we began our final stint.
This was definitely a weekend that both staff and young people will never forget. Building relationships, creating amazing memories and giving rare opportunities to our young people!
