Summer 2018 was definitely a new challenge for us, with our new Summer Club programmes and our usual fun and action packed trip programme, we had a lot on our plate. But, our 2018 Summer Programme has definitely been our best yet!

This was our first time running the brand new Summer Clubs at Deysbrook Village Centre and Blueberry Park Primary School. This new initiative was ran throughout the summer to give our young people even more access to our services, hopefully giving them a fun filled summer holidays! We had plenty of fun activities and exciting visitors attending the Summer Clubs such as, Circus Frank and the Mobile Zoo. With the help of our friends at Kitchen In The Community all of our young people got the opportunity to get involved in cooking lessons and were given a nice warm lunch to fill them up!

Throughout the summer we had an amazing variety of trips for all of our young people to take turns a piece attending. We visited places such as, Delamere Forrest for a Bike Ride, Splashworld, Jungle Parc, Liverpool Water Sports Centre, Gellings Riding Centre, Delta Force Paintballing and many more! Each trip that we went on was always full, sometimes even a reserve list was put in place as our Summer Programme is getting more and more popular each year.

We finished off our Summer Programme with two trips to Mountain Monkeys, a thank you to everyone who had attended the Summer Clubs and all the well behaved young people over the summer holidays. Mountain Monkeys is an activity centre based at Carr Mill Dam in St Helens, providing a wide range of action packed activities. On our two visits, all of our young people got involved in many different land and water based activities - they took part in Kayaking, Paddle Boarding, Bush Crafts and Archery. Both days were full of laughter and excitement from our young people, making it a perfect way to end our Summer Programme!

It was such a great summer for both our young people and all the staff at PYP, meeting new people and building relationships! We hope to carry on growing the Summer Programme and our new Summer Clubs each year, continuing to give amazing experiences and make unforgettable memories for our young people.

A huge thank you to everyone we visited for having us and everyone who came to our Summer Clubs with their fantastic workshop. But the biggest thank you goes to all our super young people who made summer 2018 our best summer yet, we couldn't have done it without you!

See you all again in the October Half Term!
